Lane Late Oranges

It is the sweetest one. Navel Lane Late: the tree is large and leafy, of rounded shape, with large, concave, dark green leaves; it has fewer thorns than other late navel varieties such as the navelate.

The fruit is similar in size to the Newhall, rounded, with a very sweet and pleasant flavour; at the end of ripening it does not show the "overripe" taste that is noticeable in some navel varieties, with a low limonin content. Due to its late ripening, the fruit keeps well on the tree until the end of June, and it has good and constant productivity. It is an interesting variety for extending the harvest period of the navels.
