Clementine Hernandina Mandarins

The Hernandina clementine is a protected variety; it is a vigorous tree of rounded shape with branches that tend to be vertical, the colour of the wood is very dark, and it has a great density of somewhat intensely green leaves.

The fruits are medium-sized and slightly flattened in shape, with an intense orange, thin rind that is easy to peel, juicy flesh of great quality, and practically no seeds when there is no pollination.

Internal maturity occurs almost at the same time as in the Clementine Fina, but external maturity or colouring takes place a few months later; its harvest is carried out in the second campaign, approximately January or February, since it withstands the rains well. It is an interesting variety in areas that are not early and with little risk of severe frosts.
