Adaptation of the Paulownias to climate and soil
The Paulownia adapts well to a wide variety of climates and soils, although its growth is favoured in fertile, deep and sandy ground; it has no problems with any type of soil, the best being neutral ones. It acclimatises perfectly to hot climates (45ºC), but also withstands cold (-17ºC). It is resistant to moderate drought conditions once the tree is developed (1 or 2 years). It adapts to a great variety of environments, although it does not grow properly at high altitudes.
