Garnish and Decorations with Orange

Oranges can be used in a very similar way to lemons, to garnish the most appetising dishes and decorate desserts and cakes. The size of this fruit makes it ideal to cut in half, giving it a crown shape, or to scoop out the contents with a spoon and then use the two empty halves as moulds.

Use the oranges cut in half as eye-catching moulds, which you can fill with very hot potato and carrot purée.

Present salads or sweets, served in the two orange halves.

Prepare a jelly with orange juice, grated zest, sugar, gelatine and water. Put the liquid in the two halves and decorate with orange segments and whipped cream.

Fill both sides of the orange with ice cream or sorbet and freeze them again.
